When the spacecraft reaches the top of the Martian airspace, it begins with a powerful entrance, race, and landing stage known as the ADL. Engineers have described the time it takes to land on Mars as “seven minutes of terror.”

The landing sequence is complex and can be targeted only on Mars, such as the Gezero Crater, with new landing technologies known as Range Triggers and Terrain-Relative Navigation.

Endurance Rover It is scheduled to land on Mars on February 18, 2021.
